I should have started this blog a year ago!
| A better oven?! |
Late 2010, early 2011, my then 3 y.o. SHARP R-995J Convection Microwave oven started undercooking pizzas, and that's just not on!
The Saga Unfolds:
- Tested the convection function for temperature accuracy
- Took the unit to the (insurer/warranty) approved repairer
- Got it back from repair, same temperature behaviour
- Took it back to repairer only to discover they only did a part swap, no testing!
- They then said there was no fault (even though they'd "fixed" it)!
- The warranty insurer then made me take it back to the repairer a third time! (I thought they were going to "write it off" as a lemon and replace it, in accordance with the T&C's of their warranty)
- I was again told by the repairer that there was "no fault found" and due to it being presented a third time (for repair) I had to pay $55 to get my oven back!
- Along the way there had been communication with SHARP who were happily "backing up" the repairer with vague platitudes and dubious explanations about the technical workings of "convection cooking".
