Testing....

Testing...

Digitor Q1585
showing
actual oven temp...
...quite at odds with
oven's indicated claim

To establish the source of the problem I performed a simple test, using two thermometers (a bi-metalic strip dial type, and a wired sensor probe on a digital multimeter with a temperature function, shown left) which both confirmed the problem previously stated.
As with all other (SHARP) convection ovens the procedure as expressed in the operating manual is:
select "Convec", then required temperature from the available number key options, then press "START", when the "actual oven temperature" is reached an audible alert and display present a request for the addition of food. Following this procedure one would expect that a selection of 220C would deliver that, but as the pictures here portray, it's "nowhere near the mark".
